Enertech International Holds Successful 25th Anniversary Internal Event

Enertech International successfully held its 25th anniversary company event on April 1, 2026, at Belfore Resort Moto Arena in Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. Approximately 240 employees and their family members attended the event and shared a meaningful time together.The event was organized to strengthen communication and fellowship among employees while creating special memories with their families. A generous lunch and various snacks were provided at the venue, along with food trucks offering a wide range of beverages and refreshments, allowing participants to enjoy the event in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The highlight of the event was a team-based kart racing competition. Participants took part in the races with strong teamwork and collaboration, adding excitement and energy to the venue. In addition, a two-seater kart experience program was prepared for families, receiving enthusiastic responses from participants of all ages. A dedicated play area for children was also arranged separately. The space was operated with safety as the top priority, creating an environment where both employees and their families could enjoy the event with peace of mind. The overall event was managed by a professional event agency, while a professional filming team captured the lively and memorable moments throughout the day. All programs were conducted under the systematic supervision and management of professional staff, with strict adherence to safety guidelines.Various prizes were awarded to outstanding teams and participants based on the race results. Every member of the first-place team received a Samsung Galaxy S26, while second-place winners received robot vacuum cleaners and third-place winners were awarded Apple Watch devices. In addition, a wide range of prizes, including home appliances, kart ride vouchers, and children’s stationery sets, contributed to the enthusiastic atmosphere of the event.Enertech International continues to strengthen a communication- and collaboration-oriented corporate culture through various internal events involving employees and their families. EnerTech International, Participates in InterBattery 2026 Exhibition

EnerTech International has participated in InterBattery 2026, held over three days from March 11 to March 13, 2026. We highlighted our full-cycle manufacturing capabilities, covering everything from electrodes to cells, modules, and packs. Compared to previous exhibitions.We operated a significantly larger booth—72 sqm—located in Hall D, where we actively conducted promotional activities. In particular, at this exhibition, we attracted considerable attention from visitors by showcasing our future development products, including new LFP and LTO cells, sodium (Na) batteries, as well as EV packs and ESS solutions. InterBattery, which continues to grow in scale each year, demonstrated its status as a leading battery exhibition in Asia this year, with 667 companies, 2,382 booths, and a total of 77,250 visitors. In addition to the exhibition, our HR & General Affairs team also participated separately in the Battery Job Fair, promoting the company to many job seekers and actively engaging in recruitment activities.

Enertech International Strengthens Teamwork Through an Active Company Event

On October 26, 2025, Enertech International held an active-themed company event attended by more than 100 participants, including employees and their families. The event took place at a mountain adventure facility located in Jecheon City. The highlight of the event was a team-based paintball competition, where participants naturally enhanced communication and teamwork through cooperation and strategic play. In addition, a variety of activities were offered, including zipline experiences for adult participants, group games, jump rope activities, and maze challenges, adding energy and excitement to the event. To ensure that families could enjoy the event together with peace of mind, a dedicated play area for children was operated with safety as the top priority. The overall event management was handled by a professional event agency, and a professional photography team captured vivid moments throughout the day. Various food trucks were also available, providing meals and refreshments for participants. All programs were conducted under strict safety guidelines with thorough supervision by trained professionals. Based on the competition results, outstanding teams and participants received generous prizes. The first-place prize was an iPhone 17, followed by a PlayStation 5 for second place and Apple AirPods for third place. In addition, various other prizes were offered, including home appliances and dining vouchers worth KRW 300,000 for a premium Korean beef restaurant, which received enthusiastic responses from participants. Enertech International Forms “Triangular Alliance” to Target the European ESS Market

Three Korean small and medium-sized manufacturers are joining forces to develop an integrated energy storage system (ESS) solution tailored to the European market through technological cooperation. Enertech International, a battery manufacturer, announced that it signed a “European ESS Integrated Solution Business Agreement” on the 11th with Intermac, a power control systems specialist, and Kukil Intotech, a fire-resistant materials company, at Kukil Intotech’s headquarters in Ulsan. Under the agreement, the three companies will establish a triangular cooperation framework by combining their core technologies in battery manufacturing, power control, and fire prevention, and jointly pursue opportunities in the European market, which is emerging as a next-generation ESS market. In Europe, demand for ESS linked to solar and offshore wind power, as well as large-scale MWh-class power generation projects, has been rising rapidly. As a result, the ability to supply ESS solutions with high levels of safety and system reliability has become a key factor determining market competitiveness. The three companies initiated this partnership based on a shared understanding of the need to develop highly reliable ESS solutions through technological integration. Enertech International, which was spun off from the battery division of the Saehan Group in 2001, specializes in the production of secondary batteries for electric buses, trucks, and hybrid vehicles. Its main products include large-format EV cells, battery packs, lithium-polymer batteries, and electrodes. The company counts major domestic and global firms such as Hyundai Motor Company, Ford, LG Energy Solution, and Komatsu among its clients. Under the agreement, Enertech International will be responsible for the design of batteries for medium- and large-scale ESS, as well as ensuring quality and safety, leveraging more than 25 years of accumulated ESS battery manufacturing expertise. Intermac will provide its ESS integrated control system solution technology, built on over 20 years of experience in the secondary battery, wind power, and renewable energy sectors. This technology is expected to enhance energy storage and management efficiency while strengthening the stability of power supply. Kukil Intotech will supply fire-resistant and heat-insulating materials designed to prevent thermal runaway and fires during ESS operation. The company has exported specialized industrial sealing products capable of withstanding extreme high-pressure and high-temperature environments for more than 40 years. Building on this expertise, Kukil Intotech produces localized fireproof and fire-resistant materials, as well as thermal runaway prevention materials for electric vehicle batteries. Going forward, the three companies plan to jointly develop ESS products optimized for the European market and to strengthen the competitiveness of the “K-ESS” brand through collaborative sales activities and technical standardization. JBNU-KIST Department of Industry–Academia–Research Convergence Signs Internship MOU with Enertech International

The JBNU-KIST Department of Industry–Academia–Research Convergence at Jeonbuk National University visited Enertech International on December 11, 2025, and signed an “Industry–Academia Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the operation of an internship program”. The visit was attended by Professor Lee Seung-hee, Professor Lee Gi-tae, and five graduate students from Jeonbuk National University. Representing Enertech International were Executive Director Yoo Sik-jeong (CPO), Executive Director Nam Sang-hyun (CTO), and Deputy Manager Yoon Chang-bae from the HR and General Affairs Team. This agreement was established to provide students with hands-on industry experience and opportunities for career exploration through the development of a field-oriented internship program. During the meeting, Enertech International introduced the company and explained its overall corporate culture, including employee welfare programs, working environment, and compensation system. This was followed by a presentation from CTO Nam Sang-hyun, who shared insights into the company’s research and development (R&D) processes, technological achievements, and key business areas. Following the official signing of the MOU, representatives from both institutions toured the cell production facilities, where they observed manufacturing processes and the research environment. A representative of the JBNU-KIST Department stated, “Through this agreement, we expect students to directly acquire the practical competencies required in industrial settings.” CTO Nam Sang-hyun added, “We hope to build a collaborative model in which universities and companies grow together through active exchange with outstanding talent.”

Enertech Develops Sodium-Ion Battery…“Mass Production in 2027”

Enertech International is entering the rapidly emerging sodium-ion battery market, recognized as one of the most promising next-generation battery technologies. The company announced on the 1st that it has successfully developed a sodium-ion battery prototype with an energy density of 140–160 Wh/kg. Enertech plans to complete cell process stabilization and performance verification by the first half of next year and begin mass production in January 2027. Sodium-ion batteries use sodium instead of lithium, providing a distinct advantage in raw-material availability and cost competitiveness. They also offer low thermal-runaway risk, reduced capacity loss at low temperatures, and improved transport safety. Unlike lithium-ion batteries, which can suffer performance degradation when discharged below 30% state of charge (SoC), sodium-ion batteries can be fully discharged to 0% without issue, making them highly attractive for applications such as electric vehicles (EVs) and energy-storage systems (ESS). Enertech International is currently pursuing supply opportunities with overseas EV manufacturers. Mass production will begin at the company’s battery plant in Chungju, South Korea, and — after technology stabilization — manufacturing will be expanded to Enertech’s new European production site. Sang-Hyun Nam, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Center at Enertech International, stated: “Sodium-ion batteries can be manufactured on existing NCM (nickel–cobalt–manganese) production lines without additional investment,” adding that“since dedicated materials such as cathode materials are still required, we are conducting joint development with Korean and Chinese material suppliers.” Commercialization of sodium-ion batteries is currently accelerating in China, with CATL already mass-producing and supplying the technology to Chinese EV OEMs. In Korea, LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and SK On remain in the R&D stage, positioning Enertech International’s plan for mass production in 2027 as a notable development in the industry. Founded in 2001 through a spin-off of the Saehan Group’s battery division, Enertech International aims to broaden its product portfolio with the addition of sodium-ion batteries. The company currently produces NCM batteries at its Chungju plant and is also developing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. Enertech expects to manufacture three battery chemistries — NCM, Sodium-ion, and LFP — by 2027. Nam concluded: “Sodium-ion batteries have significant potential to complement — or even replace — lithium-ion batteries,” emphasizing that“accelerating commercialization will enable us to strengthen our responsiveness in both the EV and ESS markets.”

Enertech Int. & Aboitiz Power Technical Cooperation to Target Philippines' Energy Market

Sang-hyun Nam, the director of the R&D Center of ETI, accompanied Pack R&D Team and Business Development Team to a successful technical meeting with Aboitiz Power based in Manila, Philippines.Founded in 1998, Aboitiz Power, the largest private power company in the Philippines, has sales of $4.5 billion and 5,000 employees as of 2024, and so far, the amount of power supplied to the Philippines is 6,000 Mwh per year.Aboitiz Power is currently pursuing stable power supply and renewable energy diffusion through ESS projects, and registered Enertech as an official supplier in related projects, gaining the opportunity to bid for future projects.Through collaboration with battery suppliers with high development levels and mass production capabilities such as Enertech, they will be able to enter related businesses together.Enertech plans to identify the national political characteristics of the Philippines and expand related businesses with various clients such as Ayala Group, San Miguel Group, Meralco, and EDC Philippines in the future.

Enertech International Participates in Battery Expo 2025

Enertech participated in the Battery Expo 2025 (Hanoi Battery and Energy Storage Technology Exhibition) held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from June 25-27.This exhibition is part of EntECH Vietnam 2025 (which also exists in Busan, South Korea as EntECH Busan 2025) and has established itself as a notable highlight in the energy industry.Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and learn the most advanced technologies in the field, from battery equipment and energy storage systems to battery recycling and reuse technologies.In addition to product showcases, it was also an important forum for networking, experience sharing, and creating new opportunities for collaboration among companies, experts, and consumers interested in developing sustainable energy.The exhibition is the largest event in Southeast Asia involving more than 250 technology companies in various fields such as BESS and battery manufacturing-recycling, and Enertech operated a booth to actively promote technology and consult with customers.
